Job summary

**9 months covering maternity leave for the PA to the Director of Finance**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Personal Assistant, to provide high quality support to the Director of Finance and their senior team.

The post holder will manage the smooth running of their office, ensuring the highest standard of business support.

Recent significant experience as a Personal Assistant, ideally at Director level, in a fast paced complex environment is essential to being shortlisted. Main duties of the job

This is a challenging role which requires someone with excellent organisational skills who is used to dealing with conflicting priorities. Diary management is a large part of the role so applicants must have comprehensive experience in managing multiple complex electronic diaries and in the co-ordination and planning of the Director's activities.

You will have excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation and with key external stakeholders. The aptitude to work on your own initiative and the ability to prioritise your work effectively, whilst handling a busy office, is essential as you will be required to manage large volumes of work with a very fast turnaround.

You will be required to prepare communications and presentations to a high standard, so an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required along with the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality. Applicants will need to have experience of working in a busy organisation and servicing of meetings including preparing and distributing agenda papers and taking and producing accurate high quality minutes and action points.

  • Knowledge of administrative procedures, range of computerised software, own directorate specialised terminology, managerial knowledge, project monitoring, acquired through degree or experience
  • Recent substantial experience of working as a PA
  • Good numerical skills.

Desirable

  • 1 year
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
  • Shorthand.
  • Being able to type a minimum of 5OWPM
  • Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail, and first rate written and verbal communication skills.
