Job summary
Applicants are invited for the role of substantive consultant in Emergency Medicine at St. Richard's Hospital, Chichester. The successful applicant will join a dynamic well-established team, recognised regional for excellent education and outstanding clinical care. This would provide the perfect opportunity for a trainee nearing the end of specialist training, or an experienced clinician nearing CESR completion. Applications are welcomes from those with sub-speciality interest such as paediatric EM or dual EM / ICM training.
A fixed term appointment would be considered for the right candidate if this is preferred.
Main duties of the job
Main duties revolve around providing excellent clinical care to patients presenting to our department, including clinical leadership and education of multidisciplinary team members. There is a 1:5 weekend commitment and 1:10 on-call commitment. Rostering is via a gold standard semi self-rostered annualised system, allowing the perfect balance of work and life, whilst living in a beautiful part of Sussex with all the benefits of being in a vibrant city, close to the South Downs and with excellent transport links to London and further afield.
