Job summary
The post holder will be the first line of support for all pathology dataquality issues. The individual will be expected to apply judgement andhave a clear understanding of data quality within the NHS andexperience working with NHS information systems. The role demandssignificant initiative, flexibility and IT Skills
Main duties of the job
To assist the Pathology IT Manager in providing good Data Qualityguidance across all the specialties of Pathology
To assist with administering and co-ordinating the meetings and actionsthat lead to successful resolution of data quality issues.
To manage and handle patient merges on LIMS and OCS
To liaise with Pathology IT Manager, Pathology Quality Team and Trust
Data Quality Team for resolving individual patient records that havedata quality issues
Manage and maintain effective change control procedures
Monitor the Interface transfers / intercepts between the Path LIMS andTrust Electronic Patient Record system
To provide training on Data Quality for specimen reception staff
To manage the PAS interface errors daily ensuring that incorrect ormissing data is amended in a timely manner
To ensure that the Patient Confidentiality and Data Protection Act areadhered to at all times.
