Job summary
We are looking for a well-organised, motivated individual to join our busy and friendly team within the West Sussex Breast Screening Department.
You will be required to work to a high standard of accuracy and be able to demonstrate initiative in planning your own workload in a way that supports the Breast Screening department. We require the candidate to have a good attendance record and be flexible in their approach to work, we are also flexible towards colleagues within service demands as a work/life balance is extremely important to us.
The successful post holder should have a proactive and friendly attitude and be able to demonstrate substantial administrative experience and be able to meet the main duties of the role as identified in the job description. We are a busy department and call volumes are high, experience with call handling is essential.
The role will require covering reception at times and going into clinical/patient waiting areas which is patient facing therefore as per the new government guidance the candidate will NEED to be FULLY COVID vaccinated.
Main duties of the job
You must be able to work under your own initiative, possess excellent organisational skills and be experienced in dealing with confidential information.
It would be desirable for the candidate to have experience within a screening setting and have knowledge of using NBSS (National Breast Screening data base), CRIS and somerset.
The candidate would be prepping multidisciplinary team meeting paperwork, covering reception, booking patients on our NBSS system and assisting with queries, responsible for the administration of one of the mobile units and covering when necessary, typing letters, filing and the general day to day office work. It is important that the candidate is a team player and supports the team with a proactive approach.
