We are now pleased to offer an exciting new Consultant Pharmacist progression post. The post holder will be a dynamic individual ready to provide expert leadership and knowledge, covering the 4 domains of:
- Clinical Practice
- Leadership
- Education
- Research
Main duties of the job
You will be welcomed into a close and well established pharmacy team who will be excited to work with you and grow the service into providing the ever expanding roles that pharmacists can provide.
The successful candidate will already be working, or show commitment to work towards Consultant Pharmacist credentialing as set by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
The role can be a developmental Lead Pharmacist post (8a) to allow a suitable candidate to work towards achieving the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's Consultant Pharmacist Credentialing. When fully credentialed, the post holder will be re-banded to band 8c and can then use the 'Consultant Pharmacist' title. The post is also in the process of being submitted for RPS approval for recognition as a Consultant Pharmacist position.

We currently have four joint academic clinical lecturer appointments, an interface pharmacist with our lead commissioner, an embedded pharmacist with NHSE and three consultant pharmacists working within gastroenterology, cardiology and HIV as areas of expertise.
Our Sussex coast location is one of the country's most diverse and vibrant areas. With the beach at our doorstep and in close proximity to the beautiful Sussex Downs, all our sites are exciting places to work.
