An exciting opportunity has arisen to undertake the role of Operating Unit Manager (OUM) Emergency Operations Centre (EOC). You will be expected to be flexible and mobile across all EOC locations on a periodic basis. The role will be interchangeable with all other OUM roles within the EOC department and may be subject to rotation. The successful post holder will have the ability to lead, motivate and manage a team effectively, with the ability to influence and negotiate. You will have a full understanding of EOC operational performance indicators and the ability to translate our strategic goals into effective and achievable operational plans.
Main duties of the job
You will provide highly visible and effective leadership for the EOC and be at the heart of the operational delivery of the Trust.
- Be educated to MSc/MA level or equivalent evidenced experience
- Have experience in managing a large and diversely distributed workforce
- Have a strong track record of people leadership
- Have the ability to develop clear objectives and monitor progress and outcomes
- Have an excellent understanding of the pre-hospital environment and wider NHS
