We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and highly motivated Deputy Chief Pharmacist that enjoys building relationships and working in partnership to improve health and wellbeing and quality of services whilst working towards ensuring sustainable use of NHS resources. This role will provide professional support to the advanced and specialist pharmacists working in the IUC CAS. They will also provide support for the operational managers of IUC Pharmacists. Leading on specific areas such as recruitment, training, clinical supervision and call audits for IUC Pharmacists.
This role will require highly developed and detailed understanding of medicines use, non-medical prescribing and commissioning pathways in the Primary care setting, experience of budget monitoring, and a record of pan-organisational experience.
Main duties of the job
This role will provide professional support to the advanced and specialist pharmacists working in the IUC CAS. They will also provide support for the operational managers of IUC Pharmacists. Leading on specific areas such as recruitment.
This role will require highly developed and detailed understanding of medicines use, non-medical prescribing and commissioning pathways in the Primary care setting, experience of budget monitoring, and a record of pan-organisational experience. The successful candidate will act as a role model to the IUC CAS team, promoting the training and development of medicines management (and other) staff in the field of medicines optimisation, embracing innovative ways of working and provide a consistently high-quality service.nt, training, clinical supervision and call audits for IUC Pharmacists.

- Postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or satisfactory evidence of equivalent competence as demonstrated in a practice portfolio of evidence
