Job summary
We are currently seeking a part time psychosexual therapist/counsellor.
The successful candidate will have experience in providing psychosexual counselling and hold the appropriate qualifications, ideally they should be COSRT registered.
The post is currently timetabled for 2 days per week based within our community contraception & sexual health clinic.
Main duties of the job
Triage and assessment of referrals from GP's and other clinical staff.
Manage a fixed term caseload, usually offering 6 sessions of therapy per episode.
Provide activity reports to Operational manager.
Engage in internal/external training and attend supervision.
Ensure registration is maintained.

Overview of the Post
To provide a qualified psychosexual therapy service, providing psychosexual therapy assessment and treatment services to outpatients experiencing sexual dysfunction and intimacy difficulties under the care of CASH & Community gynaecology services. To provide specialist advice and consultation on patients sexual and relationship difficulties to medical, nursing and AHP colleagues in CASH & Community gynaecology through multidisciplinary team meetings and attendance at clinics as appropriate. To work autonomously within professional guidelines and within the overall framework of the department and trusts policies and procedures.
