Job summary
We are excited to invite a new colleague to join our Community Paediatric team in Bexley,Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. This role will assist in delivering comprehensive and specialist child health services across the Bexley area. This position will primarily be based at Acorns Child development Centre at Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup. The role has been newly created as part of a our Community Paediatrics team. The role is for a full-time position, fixed term for one year. The position will involve covering various community paediatric clinics, predominantly Neuro- development and other aspects of community paediatrics. The job plan will be reviewed annually as part of the job planning process. We encourage applicants to visit us. Main duties of the job
1. The post holder may be required to work at any of the Trust's sites in line with service needs including the provision of cover where necessary.
2. The post holder must at all times carry out her/his responsibilities with due regard to the Trust's Equal Opportunity Policy.
3. The post holder will be expected to be capable of assessing children referred to our service and seen in secondary clinics with appropriate training and support.
4. Job Limitations: at no time should the post holder work at a level outside their level of competence. Any concerns should be discussed immediately with the line manager. All staff have a responsibility to inform those supervising their duties, it they are not competent to perform a duty.
