Trainee Cognitive Behavioural Therapist in CBT for Personality Disorder
An exciting opportunity has arisen to support training roles within Older Persons Mental Health Services. Applicants must have a core profession in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work. In the first instance this is a Band 6, two-year fixed term contract.
The training is funded by Health Education England and delivered by the prestigious University College London. On successful completion of the Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Therapy for Personality Disorder and accreditation with the BABCP.
This intensive training post will equip the post holder to deliver Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to clients presenting with a range of complex difficulties in a secondary care setting. It is suitable for clinicians with experience in working with service users in either adult mental health or older persons adult mental health.
The successful post holder will deliver their newly developed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Skills for four days a week in a clinical setting within one of our Older Adults Mental Health Teams, and one day a week they will attend training at University College London.
Main duties of the job

It is suitable for clinicians with experience in working with service users in older people's mental health. The successful post holder will deliver their newly developed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Skills for four days a week in a clinical setting within one of our Older Adults Mental Health Teams, and one day a week they will attend training at University College London. This is a Postgraduate level training and as such, you will need to perform at that level academically. In addition, applicants will be required to balance a busy work schedule with academic study. Applicants must be prepared to study outside protected time in order to complete course requirements.
