Job summary
Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit highly motivated and enthusiastic Nursing Associates to work in our District Nursing Service. We have vacancies in our Bexley and Greenwich District Nursing Teams to meet the increased demand for community health services, supporting the national agendas for delivering more care out of hospital.
We have vacancies in both boroughs so can accommodate preferences.
The District Nursing Service provides safe, effective, clinical care and support to patients, their families and carers. The teams work in collaboration with GPs, local authorities (Social Services), voluntary sector and other Oxleas' teams to deliver high quality, evidence based, nursing care to clients within their own home, residential homes and clinical environments, placing emphasis on prevention and self-management as well as palliative care.
All successful candidates will be offered a formal induction.
Main duties of the job
The Nursing Associate will be part of a District Nursing team and will work alongside other health professionals in the implementation, delivery and evaluation of Nursing interventions. You will deliver a high level of care and evidence based interventions and will provide a wide range of practical care duties and be able to take appropriate action to achieve planned aims and objectives of individual clients with the supervision of the registered nurses. You will be accountable for the standards of such delegated duties.
