Job summary
The post-holder will facilitate the Smart Recovery UK meetings and deliver the 'Inside Out' Programme, to offenders in HMP/YOI Isis.
The UK SMART Recovery Senior Practitioner will act as the main link person between Oxleas Interventions, internal departments and external agencies for individuals attending the SMART meetings / programme. They will also be responsible for all meeting / programme related planning, coordination and facilitation. In addition, the SMART Recovery Senior Practitioner will hold line management and governance responsibilities; supervising and developing practitioners' casework, and ensuring quality delivery of client interventions. The post holder will also support the Service Manager and provide management cover when appropriate.
Main duties of the job
- To deliver / facilitate; meetings, structured group sessions, activities and interventions for offenders within HMP/YOI Isis.
- To support clients who are engaging with UK SMART Recovery meetings and whilst on the UK SMART InsideOut programme on a -1 basis.
- To work closely with partner agencies to ensure treatment planning is in line with sentence/risk planning.
- To deliver a range of structured, evidence based psycho-educational interventions, through the UK SMART InsideOut Package.
- To support information sharing and shared processes with key services, to enable effective continuity.
- To ensure all service activity and service user information are recorded to a high standard, using required case management systems, and within agreed time frames, at an individual and service level
- To work professionally with colleagues, service users, peers, prison staff, internal and external agencies in the interests of shared outcomes to reduce re-offending and improve wellbeing.
- To coordinate surveys and feedback sessions for clients to help inform service improvements and go on to implement any agreed changes.
