Job summary

Team: Bexley Community Mental Health Team

We are looking for a competent team administrator to join the Bexley Community Mental Health Team in Bexley Borough.

You will be working within the community team to help provide much needed admin support to health care professionals including Social Workers, Community Psychiatric Nurses and Doctors within these teams. You will need to be able to work within a team environment but also to use your own initiative and work on your own when necessary

You will need a good working knowledge of computer packages although training will be given for in house computer packages. A knowledge of working in a NHS environment is desirable. You will be dealing with clients and staff, as well as outside agencies, accessing the service both on the telephone and face to face, therefore you will need to have good communication skills and a smart appearance. Duties will include copy and audio typing using the G2 voice recognition system, typing letters to clients and GP's, typing client assessments, scanning/photocopying, booking appointments, taking/typing up formal minutes and covering other admin work during periods of annual leave or sickness which includes reception work.

Main duties of the job
