Job summary
We are pleased to advertise an exciting opportunity for an outstanding candidate to join a dynamic and thriving national harmful sexual behaviour service as aBand 8a Highly Specialist Systemic Psychotherapistwithin the NSPCC's National Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service (NCATS), located within the heart of the London Borough of Camden at our clinic base within short distance of Camden Town tube station.
You will receive regular supervision and be part of a supportive peer group with access to a generous protected CPD budget. Links to the Trust's family therapy department are actively encouraged and promoted.
Main duties of the job
As aHighly Specialist Systemic Psychotherapist, you will join a vibrant and experiencedmulti-disciplinary team in providing assessments and a variety of evidence-based interventions, drawing upon your professional skills and values as a Family Therapist, for children, young people, and their families where there have been concerns about harmful sexual behaviour.
This role also includes providing specialist advice and consultation regarding diagnoses and treatment to NCATS colleagues, external agencies, working autonomously within professional guidelines and within a multi-disciplinary team, and contributing to overall service delivery as required. To provide supervision to trainee systemic psychotherapists and to social worker colleagues where directed by the clinical lead.
We are seeking to develop our practice and approach to working with sibling sexual abuse, and view the role of a highly specialist systemic psychotherapist as critical in this area of service development.
