Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust are looking for keen, passionate, enthusiastic Band 5 nurses to work on our Female acute mental health ward in Greenwich. If you seek to provide excellent nursing care and develop and progress through the nursing pathway, we can support you.
Following the promotion of the previous post holder we are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse who is looking for new challenges or to start their career on Avery Ward, Oxleas House.
Avery Ward is a 20 bedded Female Male acute ward located in Oxleas House, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Woolwich.
Main duties of the job
You will be caring, compassionate and committed to providing the best service possible to patients. You will possess the will and the drive to work with clients who suffer from severe and enduring mental illnesses in a creative and exciting way.
You will possess sound clinical risk assessment and management skills, good knowledge of the Mental Health Act (1983), CPA and NMC code of conduct. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and who can work both as part of a team and on their own initiative and respond creatively to service provision and service user needs.
You will receive ongoing support from your peers, ward manager and matron. You will also receive individual supervision as well as support in reflective practice groups.Our team is well established, dynamic, with a strong commitment to multidisciplinary working, service development and continued professional development.
