An exciting opportunity has arisen for a substantive post of a Clinical Team Leader (Band 7) on a forensic low secure ward.
The low secure service looks after patients who have spent time in prison/care setting and require help with ADL skills and adjustment to life outside of hospital.We are a Trauma Informed Service, looking for a dynamic and compassionate individual with good clinical skills. You will lead the delivery of high-quality care to patients, in which nursing therapeutic skills support our patients to feel safe, listened to, valued, engaged and empowered.
You will role model to colleagues how empathy and curiosity about patients' traumas, adversity, mental states and behaviours support patients to change.
This post will be suitable for a Clinical Charge Nurse with adequate skills to support the multidisciplinary team in using evidenced based approaches such as Trauma Informed Care, recovery star, traffic light system, Broset in the prediction of violence and aggression, safety huddles and other evidence-based approaches.
Most importantly, you will be supported to ensure that care is delivered in a proactive working environment to achieve a positive patient experience.
The role will provide you with opportunities to develop your managerial and leadership skills. You will be motivated to enable all staff, service users and carers from diverse backgrounds to flourish by creating a psychologically safe environment.
