Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a 1.0, one-year fixed term band 7 Psychological Therapist post within the London Pathways Partnership (LPP). LPP is a consortium of five London NHS Trusts co-delivering community and custodial services under the national Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway programme in partnership with Her Majesty's Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) and third sector providers including Together for Mental Wellbeing, Women in Prison and Penrose. Our staff are among the most experienced teams nationally working with men and women who have serious offence histories that are linked to their personality difficulties.

This is an exciting and varied role for someone who is interested in providing clinical expertise in services for people who present with personality difficulties and complex needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who values cultural humility and trauma informed care principles, who can work in a gender responsive manner across all areas of their practice and who is committed to working in partnership with others to develop services that reflect this.

The post is based in the Housing and Support Service (HASS). HASS comprises of three residential projects in Catford, Redbridge and Brixton (women's service). The successful applicant will work across all three sites to deliver psychologically informed input to residents and staff although, they will be predominantly working within the women's OPD community pathway.

Main duties of the job

The post is based in the Housing and Support Service (HASS). HASS comprises of three residential projects in Catford, Redbridge and Brixton (women's service). The successful applicant will work across all three sites to deliver psychologically informed input to residents and staff although, they will be predominantly working within the women's OPD community pathway. This will also include providing psychologically informed support to a female Approved Premise in Battersea.

A women's community hub is in development and attached to the female HASS. You will play a key role in the development and delivery of this service, with a focus on service user involvement.

Core duties will include joint assessments with partner agencies, offering joint case work to residents and keyworkers and delivering group interventions for women e.g. DBT skills. The role will also involve providing support to a trainee forensic psychologist and on occasions assistant psychologists.

Essential
