1 year fixed-term maternity coverAn exciting opportunity to join Greenwich CAMHS as we seek to appoint a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist to our multidisciplinary Learning Disability / Neurodevelopmental (LD/ND) team working with children, adolescents and their families/ carers.

The post holder will be joining an experienced multi-disciplinary CAMHS service with a range of specialist areas of practice. They will offer highly specialist psychology assessment and treatment to young people and their families/carers presenting with learning disabilities, neurodevelopmental difficulties and mental health difficulties as well as advice and consultation to social care and other professional colleagues in partner agencies.

The successful post-holder will also provide consultation and supervision to junior psychological therapists and trainees within the MDT.

Greenwich CAMHS has embedded the principles of CYP-MH(IAPT) within its service provision.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS.
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council

Desirable

  • Completion of further post-doctoral post-qualification specialist training including training in supervision of trainee clinical psychologists.
  • Training in specialist ASD assessment (e.g ADOS, DISCO, ADI)

Experience

Essential

  • Experience as a CAMHS clinical psychologist post-qualification.

Desirable

  • Demonstrate further specialist knowledge about the needs of children presenting with ASD and LD and intervention strategies.
  • Experience of working in a CYP-IAPT service or a qualification in CYP IAPT
