We are pleased to offer an exciting role to work in the award winning Greenwich Pulmonary Rehabilitation team. This established post provides an opportunity to gain excellent experience in the specialist COPD community service based at the Goldie Leigh site in Abbey Wood.

The services support adults within their home and in various community settings to enable them to reach their potential, gain functional independence and improve quality of life.

This post is suitable for a newly qualified physiotherapy graduate or someone with approximately 18 months experience looking for a band 6 role.

Main duties of the job

The role will include assessment and treatment tailored to the patients' needs, patient centred goal setting, and education about the condition. The post holder will be required to work in a multidisciplinary way and work jointly with the other team members to ensure that all care needs are met.

The COPD team comprises of physiotherapists, matrons, an oxygen specialist, a clinical psychologist, a LTC dietitian, assistants and administrative support. The team work closely along side secondary care, meeting weekly with specialist nurses and a respiratory consultant who acts as the clinical lead for the team.

The Pulmonary Rehabilitation physiotherapist, will be required to carry out holistic assessments of patients and deliver the pulmonary rehabilitation programme alongside your pulmonary rehabilitation colleagues. Pulmonary rehabilitation is delivered in two community venues in the borough of Greenwich.
