We are pleased to advertise an exciting opportunity for an outstanding candidate to join our dynamic and energetic CAMHS services as a Clinical Psychologist within the Looked After Children's CAMHS Team atBromley CAMHS, located within the heart of the London Borough of Bromley.
This Band 7 role is a preceptorship for new/recently qualified Clinical Psychologists. Successful candidates will be able to progress to a Band 8a role within 18-24 months of appointment/post-qualification, on the condition of meeting a range of competencies (see attached document for further information). Opportunities are available to work across a range of specialisms within CAMHS.

The team have close relationships with the wider specialist CAMHS, our cross-borough crisis team for young people, our DBT service and the wider South London Partnership.
The service is underpinned by CYP IAPT principles and the successful post holder would operate within these core principles within the service.
Main duties of the job
You will join a vibrant & experienced multi-disciplinary team working with children who are looked after and their families, carers and networks providing a variety of evidence-based interventions, drawing on your professional skills & values, for children & young people presenting with a range of mental health difficulties. This includes specialist assessment, CBT, DBT, IPT & other evidence-based therapeutic interventions, in addition to developing & delivering consultation, training & supervision for other professionals working with Children & Young People in other settings.

We offer clinicians the opportunity to develop experience across a range of specialty pathways within CAMHS through rotational posts.

The successful candidate will offer specialist clinical psychology assessment, formulation and treatment to children, young people and their families/carers, as well as offering advice & consultation services to social care and other professional colleagues in partnership agencies utilising a trauma informed framework.
The role involves liaising closely with social care, schools and other professional colleagues in partnership agencies through consultation, attendance at multi-professional meetings and contributing to training.
Bromley CAMHS offers a broad range of recommended and evidence-based interventions, achieving consistently positive outcomes for children and young people. Clinicians across the service routinely monitor outcomes and collect and incorporate service user feedback into service delivery.
