Staff Nurse, Band 5 Permanent Full Time: 37.5 hours per week

Main duties of the job
Following the promotion of the previous post holder we are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse who is looking for new challenges or to start their career on Avery ward, Oxleas House.
Avery Ward is a Female 20 bedded acute ward located in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich
You will be caring, compassionate and committed to providing the best service possible to patients. You will possess the will and the drive to work with clients who suffer from severe and enduring mental illnesses in a creative and exciting way.
You will possess sound clinical risk assessment and management skills, good knowledge of the Mental Health Act (1983), CPA and NMC code of conduct. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and who can work both as part of a team and on their own initiative and respond creatively to service provision and service user needs.Our team is well established, dynamic, with a strong commitment to multidisciplinary working, service development and continued professional development. We also provide ongoing in-house training and workshops for dedicated staff, to enable discussion, reflection and education which lead to the delivery of the best care for our patient groups.

As a Registered Nurse you provide direct personal care to service users/patients, without direct supervision, and co-ordinate the care given bycolleagues.The post holder will deliver high quality safe nursing care, ensuringconsistently high standards of practice and clinical excellence which complywith the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) code of professional conduct.The role includes leading the delivery of comprehensive service userassessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of person-centeredcare in a collaborative way. Clinical Skills1.
