Staff Nurse Canadian Wing Band 5

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Canadian Wing for Band 5 Nurses wishing to develop their career in plastics, corneo and maxillofacial surgery.

If you are successfully appointed to this role and complete a 6 month probation period you will be eligible for a two stage New Starter Premium of £1500 in total. You will receive £500 on receipt of your probation paperwork from your line manager and another £1000 on the one year anniversary of your start date.

Bank staff and returners to the Trust within 12 months are not eligible for the New Starter Premium.

Main duties of the job

Your role will primarily be focused on delivering high quality care to a range of inpatients on a busy 43 bedded surgical unit. The successful post holder will also be able to work within our enhanced recovery area which will give an amazing opportunity to develop higher level skills.You will be working closely with your Band 6 colleagues to ensure you receive support and development, excellent communication skills are essential.The successful candidate will be well motivated and enthusiastic to learn.You will be given all necessary training required and will attend all relevant mandatory study days. We are committed to providing education opportunities to all our staff and place a strong emphasis on the education and development of the Ward team.
