Job summary

This role will lead the Trusts Resuscitation agenda, overseeing and working collaboratively with the Trust staff. This will include ensuring the Trust meets the National required standards, organising and carrying out staff training, and to act as the subject matter expert for the Resuscitation Committee. The post holder will also be expected to respond to and lead cardiac arrest and medical emergency teams, and be able to investigate the lead up to any cardiac arrest or medical emergencies and identify lessons learned.

Main duties of the job

Ensuring accessible Basic Life Support (BLS) training to maintain and improve compliance levels across the trust.Financial prudency and remaining within budget.Maintain clinical relevance by contributing to clinical areas, assisting where able, i.e. Registered Nurse on ward areas, Operating Department. Practitioner theatres, Paramedic Minor Injuries Unit.Ensuring courses and equipment meet requirements of Care Quality Commissioner (CQC).Auditing Do Not Attempt Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (DNACPR) decisions.Maintaining independent incident records.
