Job summary
NHS Sussex are looking for an experienced project manager to work as a member of the NHS Sussex dermatology programme. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic project manager with experience of project and change management in a healthcare setting and lead on the implementation of several transformation projects across the Sussex health and care system.
The candidate will have exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage with and lead stakeholder organisations through change. The candidate will use effective project management techniques to successfully deliver service transformation, improvements, and efficiencies.
The post holder will encourage innovation and maintain a continuous improvement culture amongst staff, leading by example by challenging current practice, whilst identifying opportunities for improvement for the benefit of our patients.
Main duties of the job
Manage a number of targeted improvement and change management projects independently at any one time.
Act as an effective role model, contribute to a culture of civility and inclusivity, positive performance management and develop own credibility through the demonstration of high standards.
Support the Dermatology Programme Manager on a large scale transformation programme as part of the NHS Sussex objectives and strategy to provide safe, effective services and outcomes.
Lead on the performance monitoring and reporting of improvement projects, with responsibility for monitoring progress of the implementation in line with the programme timeline, recognising changing priorities and implementing corrective actions where necessary. Take responsibility for the maintenance of project documentation and reporting.
Undertake complex data analysis from a range of sources to identify opportunities for improvement and review progress against agreed key performance indicators.
To report on and manage risks and issues within the projects and escalation to the programme manager and programme board where required.
Assist in creating and delivering internal and external presentations, reports and communication materials to support delivery of improvements.
