Job summary
This role is the PACS / RIS manager for Queen Victoria Hospital.
The post holder will support the Head of IT, Chief Information Officer and Digital Clinical Director with the trust digital IT strategy as required. It is expected that the candidate will manage the Radiology Information System (RIS), Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) and other relevant IT systems and produce information reports and statistics to ensure the effective running of the Imaging department. The manager is responsible for updating RIS and PACS policy/protocols including contingency planning. The manager should support and train the Imaging and Trust staff on PACS /RIS. The manager will work in conjunction with the Radiology Manager and Radiology Clinical lead to improve service delivery and service improvement for the benefit of the patient.

- Connectivity expertise for modalities, order comms
- Leadership and people management
- Good PACS governance
- Data handling and audit
- Leadership for PACS system
- Represent at IM&T forum, PACS managers meetings, Imaging network board and Pathology network
- Digital project involvement
