Job summary
Queen Victoria NHS Foundation Trust (QVH) are looking for a 3 PA Bank Consultant Tele-Dermatologist (remote work) to support the hospital's newly formed Community Diagnostic Centre. The post-holder will be a confident diagnostician, with prior experience of interpreting dermatoscopic images and making sound management plans.
The successful candidate will form part of a newly established and innovating Community Diagnostic Centre, which aims to be comprised of both specialist Plastic Surgeons and Dermatologists working in partnership. As a consequence, there is opportunity for both substantive employment as a Dermatologist, as well as the opportunity to become an essential source of insight and growth in the story of this service.
The post will work remotely but will be associated with Queen Victoria Hospital, within the second largest Plastic Surgery Department in the country.
The outline job plan is enclosed in the job description, containing 3 PAs of direct clinical care - of which can all be delivered remotely and flexibly (to a degree).
Applicants should have MRCP or equivalent and CCT certification in Dermatology or be within 6 months of obtaining their CCT.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will review dermatoscopic images, plus supplementary information about the story of the patient's lesion, and make a clinical plans for them, which may or may not include onward management by the Plastic Surgery Department at QVH. They will also be expected to participate in a weekly tele-dermatology MDT with other peers that will be delivering tele-dermatology within the service.
