Job summary

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join our Burns Outpatient team, as Maternity fixed term cover, as a band 3 role within our Emergency Burns Assessment Clinic (EBAC).

This post is fixed term contract for a minimum of nine months with the potential to be extended. We are happy to accept secondments from other departments within our hospital.

You will be patient focused and willing to learn all aspects of burns and skin loss wound management to ensure our patients are seen in a timely, friendly environment.

Main duties of the job

At the Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, an exciting opportunity has arisen within our burns Outpatient Department EBAC for a Band 3 Health Care Assistant.

This specialist department assesses, and treats minor burns and skin loss injuries, whilst managing follow ups and admissions from external referrers. we can expose you to a wide range of wound management and nurse led procedures.

Training and development will be available for the successful applicant, and you would need to be currently working towards an NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent to be shortlisted for this role.
