Job summary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our finance team at Queen Victoria Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to progress their career in the NHS.

As part of the Finance team you will provide key support in delivery of the team and trust objectives. You will be responsible to deliver a high-quality customer service and support to the team and other stakeholders in the organisation. You will need to be supportive, self driven and always looking for ways to improve the performance.

Main duties of the job

  • To directly input adjustments, trust wide payroll and NHS Supply Chain data into the ledger system accurately within the procedures of the Trust for review and supervision.
  • To identify and implement opportunities to improve processes where possible to ensure financial processes are managed correctly and as efficiently as possible to deliver a better service to our stakeholders and maximise the efficiency of the Finance Department.
  • To assist in maintaining systems to enable routine analysis and ledger adjustments to be made following procedure and to meet the differing needs of users .
  • To raise the purchase order requisitions for the Finance Department when necessary.
  • To maintain and administer the management accounting team web page.
  • To organise team meetings, take and distribute minutes accordingly.
  • To undertake other duties as required by the Business Partner and Senior Business Partner.
