We are recruiting for a Static Occupational Therapist for 12 months maternity cover at our Sheppey Frailty Unit who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best Peopleand has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

The successful post holder will be expected to provide excellent patient-centred care across our Sheppey Frailty Unit, utilising evidence-based practice to ensure the best of care is provided to patients.

As a Senior OT you will ensure that you are an effective member of our integrated team, being proactive in your approach to your own learning and development and supporting other members of the team to do the same. This role is within an evolving team team so training would be provided for you to support, as required.

Supporting other therapy teams/services within the Trust may be required at times.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will need to be motivated and enthusiastic with a broad range of acute hospital experience, demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to actively contribute to service development.

The Senior Occupational Therapist will work within a fully integrated therapy team, offering holistic assessments to our patients.

In addition, you will get an opportunity to develop your managerial and supervisory skills providing supervision to therapists, therapy assistants and students. Continuing professional development is encouraged and supported through the appraisal system.
