We are recruiting for aClinical Trust Fellow (ST1/ST2) in Neonatal Medicine who shares our ambition and vision to deliver theBest of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

Main duties of the job

We are excited to offer 2 full time Clinical Trust Fellows at SHO level to join the busy Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The post would be suitable for those wishing to enhance their experience of neonatal intensive care. The post is available from September 2024 for 6 months.

The successful applicant willbe required to deliver a high standard of clinical practice within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team, takinganimportant role in the delivery of holistic, evidence-based care under the direction of the Lead Consultant Neonatologist. Working within agreed protocols and guidelines the post holder will exercise independent judgement to assess, investigate, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the clinical care and management of premature, sick babies and their families.

This is a SHO CTFpostand thepost holder should have experience of working within a NICU previously.The post holder will contribute to the neonatalTier 1 (SHO/ST1-3) doctors' and allied health care professional rota and will work alongside the wider MDT workforce.

  • Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practice
  • Primary Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent)
  • NLS or equivalent

Desirable

  • Evidence of working towards MRCPCH examinations

Experience

  • To have a minimum of 1 year experience of working in a tertiary Neonatal Unit

Desirable

  • Evidence of competence in Neonatal Procedures
  • Experience of working in a LNU or NICU for less than 1 year
