Main duties of the job
This role is an exciting opportunity to enter into the IT and digital workplace within a healthcare setting. As an apprentice, this role offers the opportunity for entry level staff to learn new skills and knowledge whilst developing their professional capability within the workplace.
The IT team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust are proud of the achievements of their apprentices. With many previous IT apprentices being successful in progressing to permanent roles within the team following the completion of apprenticeship qualifications.

As a member of the Trusts Technical IT Team, you will work with multiple systems and programs; have the opportunity to install, maintain, upgrade and update IT hardware and software systems so that the Trust is able to operate at the highest possible level. This will involve liaising with members of staff across the team, Division and wider organisation. You may also communicate with external organisations as required and members of the public.
You will need to be totally committed to learning and putting this in to practice in the workplace. You will be working in a busy healthcare environment as well as completing your apprenticeship programme. This is an opportunity in which you will be supported to develop your skills, knowledge, behaviours and National Vocational Qualification at Level 3.
