Specialty Doctor in ENT

Salary: £52,530 - £82,400 per annum / pro rata

Main duties of the job
To provide a service for ENT to the hospital and community designated with responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness.
The post holder will provide an ENT service to Medway NHS Foundation Trust and Darent Valley Hospital, along with the ENT Emergency Service across West Kent. Candidates must hold full registration with the General Medical Council.

The successful candidate will be responsible to and work under the supervision of ENT Consultants.The post holder will be expected to participate in the day to day activities of the department in co-operation with the ENT team.
The post holder will provide ward rounds, administrative and audit duties.
The successful candidate is advised to participate in research projects and to attend various departmental teaching seminars and regional/ national postgraduate meetings.
The post holder duties will ensure that he/she continues to gain appropriate clinical ENT experience.
The post holder is expected to start the day promptly to receive any hand-over patients admitted the night before, continuity of care for in-patients and participate in Consultant ward rounds.
The successful candidate is expected to be flexible in the exact hours worked each day. It is also expected that the Specialty Doctor will ensure that the Electronic Discharge Notifications are completed and accurate.
