An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and inspirational leader to join the Integrated Governance and Quality Team within the capacity as Deputy Director Integrated Governance, Quality & Patient Safety.
You'll be passionate about supporting front line staff to deliver safe, effective and high quality care, whilst driving continuous and quality improvement through effective and established systems of Integrated Governance and Quality.
Your experience and credibility as a leader, together with your personal determination and compassion will support the Director of Integrated Governance, Quality & Patient Safety to deliver a programme of transformation across the governance and quality agenda, systems and processes.
Main duties of the job
Working with the Director of Integrated Governance & Quality, this post forms part of the departmental senior leadership team responsible for the delivery of the Trust's Quality Strategy and vision to ensure 'The Best of Care By the Best of People' through the delivery of safe, effective and high quality services, that ensure the people who use our services, their families, carers and visitors receive a positive experience.
The role is responsible for providing senior leadership and expertise for the delivery of the Integrated Governance & Quality work programme/plan, transforming the systems and processes for Patient Safety (including Serious Incident Investigation), PALs & Complaints, Quality Assurance and Compliance (including regulatory compliance), Health & Safety, Integrated Governance, Legal Services and Risk & Policy Management.

Promoting a proactive, positive, evidenced-based and Trust wide approach to gathering and acting upon Patient Safety, including Serious Incident Investigation, PALs & Complaints, Quality Assurance and Compliance including regulatory compliance, Health & Safety, Integrated Governance, Legal Services and Risk & Policy Management. Ensuring that staff, people who use our services, their families, carers and others receive outcomes and feedback, which is efficient, effective and insightful of the impact across all aspects of trust business.
Facilitating a culture that improves integrated governance & quality through leading and managing the associated system and processes in line with current Government Legislation, Regulations, Policy Guidance and good practice.
Ensuring that the Trust has effectives systems and processes to identify and monitor lessons, and positively stimulate service improvement.Ensuring the effective development and implementation of systems and processes to enable effective reporting of integrated governance and quality metrics, compliance and performance.
Informing and advising the Chief Executive, Trust Board, Governors and partners on all aspects relating to integrated governance & quality, including areas for improvement and recommended action for practice development.

Essential
- Educated to master's level or equivalent level of experience within the NHS
- Extensive senior and relevant experience in the field of Integrated Governance and Quality
- Management / Leadership qualification is desirable
Knowledge
Essential
- Knowledge and understanding of statutory and regulatory, guidance and best practice frameworks requirements for integrated governance & quality
- Demonstrates up to date, evidenced based knowledge of current clinical and professional issues
- Full understanding of investigations and methodology and evidence of production of quality reports and QA abilities
Experience

- Demonstrates experience and detailed knowledge of all aspects of clinical governance and risk management, supporting and maintaining the systems and processes that underpin it
- Experience and working knowledge of the RLDatix reporting management system is desirable
- Experience of managing resources across multiple teams and specialties including of operational budgets, ensuring value for money
