Main duties of the job

Within this role you will need to ensure the department runs an evidence based service for Trust employees, partners and external contracts.

Act as a resource of clinical expertise for relevant staff within the Occupational Health team.

Lead, develop and take continuing responsibility for the development & maintenance of a full Occupational Health service to the Trust (and external clients where necessary).

Work in a clinical role as required, managing own caseload, including case management.

  • Registered Nurse with current registration with NMC
  • Recognised qualification in Occupational Health on part 3 on the NMC register

Knowledge

Essential

  • Thorough specialty knowledge relevant to Occupational health e.g. (MSK, mental health, occupational diseases)
  • Understanding of professional and current issues in Occupational Health
  • Understanding of resource management, health and safety, clinical risk and quality issues

Experience

Essential

  • Significant experience in leading an OH department
  • Experience of handling complex clinical and non-clinical incidents
