Salary: £78,192 - £90,387 per annum / pro rata

Main duties of the job
The role will provide you the opportunity to work with a wide range of professionals and partners across the organisation and external partners. The post holder will play a key role in how the Trust listens and learns from the people of Medway, and support the PALS team in the daily management of concerns and listening to the experience of Medway residents.
Youll be proactive and positive; have a proven track record of quality improvement, display excellent communication skills, be passionate about making a difference to both patients and staff and be able to evidence involvement in high impact change and delivery of key outcomes.As a key member of the senior leadership and management team, youll contribute to the future strategic direction of the Hospital and will ensure that service needs and patient experience are met to the high standards

The Associate Director of Patient Experience will play a key role in supporting the Trust with the delivery of the Patient Experience Strategy and a range of initiatives to improve patient experience.
In this role you will work closely with clinical teams, care groups and divisional leadership teams, corporate services and other key staff and stakeholders to develop our thinking and seek out ways to ensure delivery of improvements in patient experience and the quality of care to our patients and the community.
This role will be providing highly visible and inspiring nursing leadership throughout the Trust. Champion a professional and open culture which empowers nurses to deliver safe and compassionate practice and act as a role model for the values, behaviours and high professional standards expected.
You will need to be a confident, experienced senior leader with evidence of working across multiple areas and specialties and be able to inspire ideas, create momentum and deliver at pace across a range or diverse areas of work.
To be responsible for ensuring that the Trust has a robust professional regulatory framework in place for nursing, and that robust arrangements are in place to train and educate nurses in the delivery of high quality, user centred care.
To ensure the Trusts legal and statutory obligations are fulfilled in line with governance requirements and within the resources available
To identify and manage risks facing the Trust to ensure it remains financially and organisationally viable and delivers effective services.
To set, manage and review the objectives of the Trust in line with national, regional and local policies, strategies, requirements and targets.
You will act as a source of professional advice and expertise, developing and acting upon specialist knowledge on current trends in patient experience, service user involvement, quality improvement and organisational learning systems, keeping abreast of relevant legislation, policy changes.
Identify, adapt and bring examples of best national and international practice in patient and public experience from other NHS and non-NHS organisations; leading the successful implementation at Medway NHS Foundation Trust to deliver measurable improvements in the experience of our patients and their loved ones.
