We are recruiting for a Chief Operating Officer who shares our ambition and vision to deliver theBest of Care by the Best Peopleand has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

As part of our leadership team, you will champion a BEST culture within the Trust and play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of our services.

This is a vital role with responsibility for the strategic leadership and management of all clinical operations; and the development of sustainable, high performing services to deliver to both the local and national standards.

Main duties of the job

By working closely with our clinical teams you will work together to take the organisation forward and develop our services for the future in line with the Trusts vision and values. This position will require an experienced leader who is outcomes focussed with outstanding business, management and organisational skills, a sound knowledge of all sectors of health and social care and a record of accomplishment in successfully leading and managing large-scale change.

This is an exciting opportunity for forward-thinking and innovative operations manager who is able to drive meaningful change across the organisation at what is a challenging time for the healthcare system. You will need to be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the acute hospital system, performance and quality standards.

Provide professional leadership throughout the Trust to the Operations workforce and strives for excellence in all aspects of the delivery of patient services.

Perform a key role in shaping the policies and strategies for developing a continuous improvement culture as regards services throughout the Trust in order to ensure high quality, safe health care services for our patients.

Work collaboratively with the Chief Medical Officer and the Chief Nursing and Quality Officer to co-ordinate maintain and improve operational services to ensure that the Trust meets its performance targets and clinical standards obligations.
