To bolster our efforts and continue to provide high quality, patient focussed services, we are seeking a Specialist Doctor to join the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment (CRHT) teams in Boston and Louth, as part of our Adult Inpatient and Urgent Care division. We are looking for a doctor who is passionate and committed to the development of general adult psychiatry and who is able to support the services with providing compassionate and high-quality care.
The role is full-time at 10PAs per week, split between 70% Boston and 30% Louth. We are interested in hearing from anyone who is interested in a flexible working pattern, which would include job share, compressed hours and part time working. There is an opportunity for 1 day of remote working for the postholder, as agreed with the Clinical Director. As the role will entail travel across the county and potential home visits, it is integral that the postholder is able to travel via car, due to limited public transport.
Main duties of the job
To provide a comprehensive CRHT psychiatric service for adults aged 16 to 65 years. The catchment population, which is from 16 to 65, is approximately 136,000. CRHT have caseload discussions and has overall supervision of full-time specialty doctor in Crisis Team. The caseload is not direct and predominately the number on the caseload remains small.
Take a lead in the management of complex cases.
Support assessments of new patients and formulate treatment plans.
To use evidence-based treatment and follow local and national guidelines.
To work collaboratively and liaise with other teams within the Trust, other NHS organisations and third sector providers.
To use the Mental Health Act, as appropriate, within the course of their duties.
The Trust Doctor will be expected to participate in the postgraduate activities related to psychiatric services and to ensure CPD requirements are met.
The Trust Doctor will be expected to participate in departmental studies and the medical/clinical audit process.
The post holder is expected to participate in weekly MDT meetings and conduct CPA reviews.

Essential
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- At least 4 years' full-time postgraduate training, or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis
- A minimum of 12 years' medical work (either continuous period, or in aggregate) since obtaining primary medical qualification of which a minimum of 6 years should have been in relevant speciality in the Specialty Doctor and/or closed SAS grades, or equivalent experience and competencies.

- DBS clearance

- MRCPsych or MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists
- Approved Clinician status, or able to achieve within 3 months
