Job summary
The community-based eating disorder service provides assessment and intervention within a stepped care approach for children and young people with an eating disorder - anorexia nervosa, bulimia, binge eating and atypical eating disorders. The team works closely with other CAMHS staff to enable children and young people with an eating disorder to access the full range of supportive interventions available. Operating out of all CAMHS hubs, the team also offer a home treatment and family support element.
You will provide specialist psychology informed assessments and interventions for children and young people referred to the CAMHS Eating Disorder Service. Youwill be expected to work closely with our Core CAMHS and Crisis and Enhanced Treatment Team (CCETT) and support staff in carrying out comprehensive assessments for these children and young people (CYP); produce clear formulations to understand the presenting concerns; agree comprehensive treatment and care plans.
Main duties of the job
You will have a key role in providing consultation to professionals and guide on formulations to help gain an understanding of the child's presentation agree appropriate interventions. You will be expected to be able to work flexibly across the county.
You will have specialist training and experience and will provide supervision and consultation to staff within the team, and wider CYP service and partner agencies.
