Our work is increasingly community based and we provide people with a wide variety of mental health, learning disability and social care services in close partnership with colleagues in local councils, GPs, charitable and voluntary organisations, as well as regularly working with services users, carers and their representatives.

Based in Boston, Ward 12 is a mixed sex, in-patient ward, delivering person centred, holistic rehabilitation and reablement services to those with mental health conditions.

As a valued team member, you will work with service users, carers and the MDT to deliver evidence-based assessments and interventions. Your care, compassion and collaboration ensure that your clinical practice promotes recovery and well-being, maximising independence and self-care.

Occupational performance and participation will be central to your practice, and you will be encouraged to develop skills which support service users to achieve and maintain meaningful roles.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for working on the acute mental health ward as a valued member of the wards multi-disciplinary team, undertaking specialist assessments of patients, developing appropriate treatment plans and interventions alongside the nursing team.

To manage a defined caseload of clients with occupational needs as a result of an acute mental health episode, using evidence based, client centred, recovery, health promotion and relapse prevention orientated principles and practice.

To carry out assessments, developing therapeutic groups and working 1-1 with patients using evidence based, client centred, recovery, health promotion and relapse prevention orientated principles and practice.

The post holder will provide professional advice and support to other agencies and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
