Job summary

The Eating Disorders Services within LPFT provide specialist treatments for all with a diagnosis of Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and/or Atypical Eating Disorders in the community on an outpatient basis across the county.

We are looking for a creative and highly motivated Occupational Therapist who wants to join a well-established and rapidly expanding service.The team is a truly multidisciplinary.

The Multi Disciplinary Team as a service provides the latest in evidence based NICE psychological interventions to adults with an eating disorder. The team's multi-disciplinary approach to the assessment and treatment of individuals is a real strength and an Occupational Therapist's contribution would be a positive addition and much valued.

You will have access to clinical and professional supervision on a both 1: 1 and group basis . Mentoring / coaching is available from the Associate Director of Allied Health Professions or Consultant Occupational Therapist. There is an active network of Allied Health Professionals working across the Trust and county you can join.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible to lead occupational therapy pathways for the Eating Disorder service and for the assessment and treatment of adults and their care givers who are referred to the Adult Eating Disorders Service. You will be required to deliver interventions/treatment to patients whilst under care of the Team. The post holder will provide specific occupational therapy interventions and professional advice and support to other members of the multi-disciplinary team

The service includes providing individual assessment, therapy and management training, advice and a consultative approach. support and interventions it's work within providing the right support, at the right time, in the right place adhering to the 'Building the Right Support' principles for this cohort of individuals within the NHS long term plan, maintaining and supporting individuals to live well in the community.

The post holder will be expected to work autonomously within the service, and the post holder will be part of the wider AHP workforce within LPFT, and to adhere to Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust's and HCPC Frameworks.

The post holder will be required to work across the county and will be expected to work flexibly in order to help provide a county wide service which operates Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30am to 5pm.
