An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social worker with the Perinatal team. We are seeking a experienced Social worker for up to 30 hours, based in Lincoln however covering a countywide service.
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, confident social worker who has a passion in working closely with families & women in the perinatal period who are either pregnant or up to 24 months post natal.
Experience of working with families with severe mental illness is essential, in addition to complex social care needs.
The successful candidate would be managing a caseload of women who may have varying mental health needs needs and working alongside the team to deliver high quality evidence based care
You will be alongside another social worker be a safeguarding champion to the team, experience of working with safeguarding is essential including child protection , child in need & completing early help assessments. You will be expected to give advice and consultation in regards to all safeguarding adult and children to the team. Experience of working with families experience domestic abuse would be advantageous.
Experience of working in a community team would be helpful
The successful candidate will have a 6 week induction within the team & there would be the opportunity to shadow all members of the team.

As a social worker you will develop your core skills towards becoming a more competent practitioner within a specialist service through the guidance of the National and Local competency frameworks
To participate in and provide management, leadership and supervision for more junior staff
To contribute positively to multi-disciplinary and multi-agency team work

To engage with service users and their families/carers, developing therapeutic relationships, and providing evidence-based, psychosocial interventions in a variety of settings'
