Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as an Acute Care Nurse.
We are looking for an empathetic and enthusiastic individual with a passion for working in acute female inpatient services. This vital role involves interacting with the patients on a daily basis and helping them meet their daily needs.In addition, the job entails being on the front line of monitoring patients mental state in order to report this to registered nursing colleagues
The post is for full-time working, which requires working on a rota-based system with rotational nights and bank holidays also a requirement. Previous experience is desirable but not mandatory, as a full induction to the service, complete with all mandatory training, will be given to the successful applicant.
Once established in post further opportunities for additional training and career progression can be offered. Excellent renumeration package under Agenda for change including NHS pension and annual leave provision.
Main duties of the job
To be part of an integrated health/social care team providing inpatient care for service users suffering from serious and enduring mental illness. Offering nursing interventions in a wide variety of clinical, therapeutic and social forms with the aim of promoting mental health well being, self autonomy and independence. The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of nursing care, in liaison with the care team in the capacity of a mental health
