Job summary

Are you newly qualified?. Are you looking to develop experience of Children and Young People's services but not sure which area you would like to work in? If so this exciting opportunity could be for you.

Our Children and young people's services are recruiting 3 x band 5 CYP rotational practitioners. You will gain experience over a 2 year period of various mental health and emotional wellbeing services within CYP. This will include CORE CAMHS, CCETTS (camhs crisis enhanced treatment team service) and Healthy Minds.

Following completion of the rotational 2 year period a substantive position within one of the CYP areas will be offered.

Our CYP service Hubs cover areas across Lincolnshire including and Lincoln, Boston, Grantham, Louth. You will have the opportunity to specify which area you have preference for.

The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to develop their skills, knowledge and gain experience in the different areas and work alongside a knowledgeable, passionate, and dedicated MDT, who are all active in research, education, and training.

You will receive regular supervision; and will be actively encouraged and supported in continual professional development. Specialist training and learning opportunities are encouraged and supported in this position. Job responsibilities

To provide a high standard of clinical care ensuring safe and effective assessment, treatment and comprehensive discharge planning using highly developed clinical reasoning skills and appropriate assessment tools.

Provide care delivery to vulnerable groups, inclusive of but not exclusively:

Mild Learning Disability

Looked After Children

Survivors of abuse

Act as Care Coordinator under the CPA under the supervision of line manager.

Work collaboratively, and promote effective working relationships, with members of the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring effective clinical decision-making, internally and with external agencies.

Empower patients and their families/carers to influence and use available services, information and skills and act as an advocate where appropriate.

Provide full assessment and appropriate follow up care via care planning and clinical pathways, individual and group interventions, in partnership with young people/families/carers and other workers involved in care delivery.

Provide therapeutic interventions reflective of CYP IAPT, within relevant care pathways.

Work within defined waiting times.

Provide an extended hours service, as required.

Participate in the planning and delivery of group interventions

Provide pre-CAMHS support, advice, consultation, and training to partnership agencies.

Work in accordance with relevant childcare, health legislation and professional standards in partnership with wider childrens services and to engage fully with Safeguarding, single assessment and other processes which requires working together with other agencies.

Proactively involve young people and families in service development including using service questionnaires to obtain structured feedback.

Provide a professional, non-stigmatising service to children and families.

Work closely with other colleagues within the service to enable effective transitions to and from other areas.

Ensure best practice by incorporating NICE guidance and meeting healthcare standards.

Adhere to Trust Policies in consideration of Children in Need and safeguarding issues and in maintaining accurate and effective written records.

Use outcome measures to evidence effectiveness of treatments provided.

Chair both clinical and non-clinical meetings, as required.

Propose changes and developments to service delivery and contribute to policy discussions at both team and service level.

Participate in management and clinical supervision.

Actively participate in the delivery of training opportunities for staff and students.

To be able to travel independently and work flexibly.

Manage caseload and service delivery in accordance with, and to contribute towards the attainment of, the Service/Trust productivity requirements, including waiting times.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered with a professional body e.g. NMC, UKCP, HCPC, SWE, BACP
  • Recognised Degree Level Qualification in Registered Nursing (RMN,RLDN), Social Worker (CQSW, DipSW), Occupational Therapy or other relevant qualification e.g.IAPT qualification and Counselling

Desirable

  • Post qualification courses in childcare practices or therapeutic work with children and families
  • Training qualification

Experience

Essential

  • Relevant experience of working with people with mental health needs, including severe and enduring mental ill health.
  • Experience of using evidence-based practice.
