Job summary

Band 7 Lead Occupational TherapistContinue your Occupational Therapy journey by becoming the Lead Occupational Therapist for the Inpatient mental health rehabilitation Service.

A great opportunity to combine leadership and clinical skills, being part of a multidisciplinary team in this specialist area of mental health.The post holder will work across the inpatient rehabilitation service in Lincoln and Boston - leading occupational therapy through a recovery focused framework.

As the lead occupational therapist you will have autonomy to lead a dedicated team to work collaboratively to ensure our patients reach their recovery potential before living well in their communities. The post holder will lead the Therapy Team which consists of Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Physiotherapist, Physiotherapy Assistant and Activity Co-ordinators. This role also includes the management of the Discovery House caf which has been highly praised and respected for the role this can play in a person rehabilitation.

The Trust is a great place to work as an Occupational Therapist. You will have access to clinical and professional supervision on a both 1: 1 and group basis. Mentoring / coaching is also available from the Associate Director of Allied Health Professions or Consultant Occupational Therapist. Main duties of the job

To lead the occupational therapy service within the adult rehabilitation inpatient wards.

This involves co-ordinating the Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment provided to patients, and as an experienced clinician contributing a specialist occupational therapy role.

To manage the occupational therapists and other allocated allied health professionals within the service (as per organisation chart). This involves provision of clinical and managerial supervision, supporting the continued professional development of staff.

Contribute to the overall development of the service, working with other members of the multidisciplinary leadership team with continuous quality improvement and enhance patient experience.
