Job summary

Healthy Minds Lincolnshire provides early and preventative emotional wellbeing interventions for children, young people and their families across Lincolnshire. First established in 2017, the service has provided intervention, advice or guidance to over 5,500 children & young people across the County.We are advertising for an exceptional Practitioner to join our team. This role will provide support via liaison & consultation to education providers and universal services. It will also involve leading evidence based groups & workshops to children & young people and parents/carers, as well as brief 1-1 interventions. Main duties of the job

The B5 Healthy Minds Lincolnshire Practitioners will be a key link person for Education Settings within their area. They will provide guidance and liaison to education providers and support in embedding the whole school approach. They will provide emotional wellbeing support to child and young people including their parents/carers and wider support network. Support will be provided by the Practitioner in groups, workshops and on a one-to-one basis.

The B5 Practitioners will also provide management and clinical supervision to the B4 Practitioners within the team.

Job responsibilities

Clinical

  • Provide telephone consultations for children/young people and families (CYP-F) to establish the most appropriate intervention or signpost/refer to most appropriate service.
  • Co-ordinate, lead and deliver groups and workshops for children and young people (CYP) and parents.
  • Provide one-to-one intervention fora caseload ofCYP.
  • Manage clinical risk and safeguarding concerns.

School Liaison

  • Provide advice/consultation to school staff and other professionals (e.g., childrens services) to upskill them in supporting the emotional wellbeing of CYP.
  • Liaise with other professionals/services re. referrals andaccording toCYP needs.
  • Attend Pastoral Support Plan (PSP) meetings with schools where a child is identified as experiencing emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA).
  • Provide monthly clinical supervision to education staff in term time.

Leadershipand Team Support

  • Provide positive role modelling to Band 4 Practitioners & support the implementation of service improvements & changes within the team setting.
  • Act as main contact for allocated schools and cover other schools in the team according to need.
  • Oversee allocatedgeographical area of schools, delegating worktoB4Practitioners as appropriate.
  • Act as team champion asvolunteered/allocated (e.g., Safeguarding, risk, SEND, Staff wellbeing etc).
  • Provide clinical supportto B4 Practitionerswith clinical risk management and safeguarding issuesbased on knowledge and experience as required.
  • Support induction of new members off staff, providing shadowing opportunities and completing induction pack with supervisees.
  • Act as Practice Supervisor or Assessor (registered nurse) for student nurses in the team.

Supervision

  • Provide management and clinical supervision for B4 Practitioners.
  • Conduct appraisals for supervisees.

Training

  • Support the Clinical Lead Practitioner to providetraining and support to universal services, particularly schools to enable staff to have the skills and confidence to manage the emotional wellbeing needs of the children and young people in their care.

Qualifications

Essential

  • oRMN//RCN/RN/RNLD/Social Worker/Occupational Therapist with current registration
  • oEducated to degree level in mental health/social care or another relevant subject or equivalent experience

Desirable

Experience
