Would you like to join our Refractive Laser team at a really exciting time for Moorfields Private? We are now working closely with the Oriel project, preparing to move into our new, purpose-built hospital near King's Cross in 2027.

Main duties of the job

1. To work according to the standards outlined by your registered professional body.2. To be designated to take charge of the department in the absence of the person holding continuing responsibility.3. To work in accordance with the MEH policies and procedures.4. To participate in the clinical management of patients.5. To co-ordinate the patients' discharge arrangements in accordance with MEH discharge policy.

Job responsibilities

To maintain the smooth operation of the laser suite daily, calibrating the laser equipment and reporting any anomalies to the senior staff.

Directly supporting the Clinician during a refractive laser procedure, adopting sterile procedures accordingly. Monitoring safe stock control levels.

To assist in the co-ordination of the Refractive Laser bookings, liaising with Practice Managers and Consultants in the absence of the clinical lead.

To facilitate and support junior team members to develop their competence and skills which will enable them to become competent practitioners.
