Job summary

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Moorfields senior leadership team within the Workforce & OD function.

As Associate Director of HR Operations, you will support the delivery of the workforce strategy and lead the delivery of all transactional people services, non-medical recruitment and temporary staffing.

The successful applicant will have significant experience of leadership, management and motivation of diverse multi-disciplinary teams within HR, especially in context of operational services as well as contract, resource and budget management experience.

No Agencies - we are not looking for agency support with this role.

Main duties of the job

To support delivery of the workforce strategy as part of the senior team of the Workforce and OD function.

To effectively lead the delivery of all transactional people services, non-medical recruitment and temporary staffing.

Managing transactional and operations workforce services including payroll, rostering workforce information, ESR, recruitment, HR helpdesk, compliance monitoring (which includes DBS, Professional Registration, and work permits), and temporary staffing.

To ensure that the trust has access to high quality workforce data and information to support workforce planning, monitoring, and the development of services.

Provide effective leadership, vision and direction for the operations team to provide excellent highquality operational services.

To ensure that the trust is developing efficiencies through the use of technology, streamlining andcollaborative working via continuous improvement programme to improve service delivery.

Lead, define and deliver improvement initiatives and change projects to enhance serviceperformance and employee experience which deliver measurable improvement through feedback.

To implement review mechanisms to ensure that benefits are realised, changes are embeddedand sustainable and that continuous improvement is ongoing.

Lead on designated trust-wide HR projects as and when required. To implement reviewmechanisms to ensure that benefits are realised, changes are embedded and sustainable andthat continuous improvement is ongoing.

Ensure continual improvement of manager capability, accountability and knowledge throughguidelines, workshops and coaching that enables managers to make effective workforce decisionsin line with the legal and policy framework.

Essential

  • Post graduate Diploma or MSC in HR or equivalent experience.
  • Chartered CIPD member or equivalent senior HR experience

Knowledge and Experience

  • Significant experience of leadership, management and motivation of diverse multi -disciplinary teams within HR, especially in context of operational services
  • Experience of dealing with and resolving complex employee issues and queries in context of HR operational service provision
  • Extensive resource and budget management
  • Extensive experience of engaging, collaborating with and managing stakeholders - both internally and externally
  • Experience of contract management

Personal Qualities

  • Able to provide authoritative advice on highly complex workforce issues and demonstrate developed persuasive, motivational and negotiating skills
  • Demonstrable experience of negotiating with executive level colleagues and senior stakeholders on difficult and sensitive issues
  • Works across boundaries looking for collective success, listens, involves, respects and learns from the contribution of others
