The marketing manager for Moorfields Education is a part time role for 2.5 days a week. This role will focus on developing and implementing the marketing and recruitment strategy required to support the Moorfields Education vision. This includes brand awareness and social media, marketing campaigns to attract and retain new and existing audiences and delivering engaging, cost effective and successful marketing activity.

Main duties of the job

This role is responsible for the delivery of the marketing and communication plan for Moorfields Education.

The person will support the associate director of marketing and comms, head of marketing and joint education director in developing and implementing the marketing and student recruitment strategy required to support Moorfields Education. The appointed candidate will be responsible for student recruitment onto existing programmes offered by Moorfields Education including marketing and recruitment for short courses and other educational events.

The person will oversee the website pages and social media for Moorfields Education as well as run appropriate digital marketing campaigns.

At times, the person will support marketing activities and campaigns for Moorfields Private, Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust or other Moorfields brands.

Insight and understanding

Gather and utilise audience and sector insights to deliver effective engagement through media, events and response channels (owned, earned and paid for), which have greatest impact at a brand, product, price, and service level

Use analytical tools to track, evaluate and adjust digital campaign activity.

Support the development and implementation of performance/ROI model to track, report and evaluate the effectiveness of all marketing activity to inform future initiatives.

Keep up to date with external changes affecting market recruitment, including competitor activity, and advise on policy.

Operational delivery

Implement an always on marketing and communications activity including optimisation of search, online channels, and content marketing across relevant media channels.

Work with the digital and marketing comms teams to deliver the most effective and (cost) efficient routes to market via digital channels, content and media. All activity must be GDPR compliant.

With the support of the head of marketing and joint education director, develop and deliver plans, programmes, events and tactics to support the marketing strategies aimed at key markets

Support programmes, events and tactics to strengthen the marketing strategies aimed at key markets (both virtually and face to face).

Ensure all activity is undertaken in line with the agreed integrated brand, marketing and communications strategy.

Manage relationships with external agencies to ensure delivery of agreed activity and delivery of data to support the marketing outcomes reports.

Ensure all activity is delivered in line with pre-determined and delegated budgets.

Ensure all marketing activity takes place within the appropriate legal and regulatory frameworks.

To lead and manage Moorfields Education recruitment activities, delivering professional and inspiring engagement to optimise recruitment and conversion.

Lead in the production of new and engaging content that supports the overarching strategy and covers all areas of education activity.

Ensure all activity is delivered in line with pre-determined and delegated budgets.

Support the integration of Moorfields Education marketing activities with other business areas including but not limited to Moorfields Private and Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
