Job summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for an e-Rostering Manager to join Moorfields growing W&OD team.

As a subject matter expert, you will provide day to day management of the e-Rostering system and processes for the trust as well as provide line management support for the e-Rostering team.

The successful applicant will have experience of an electronic rostering system, preferably Allocates Healthroster system, Version 11 and understand the current agendas impacting on rostering and the NHS workforce and understand the differences between Agenda for Change, NHS Deal, 2016 Junior Doctors contract and the Consultant terms and conditions.

Main duties of the job

You will lead the approach to rostering data analysis, analyse and interpret rostering workforce data and performance information to ensure the accurate and timely production of ad-hoc, weekly, monthly, and quarterly data as required.

You will be abreast of developments in rostering and the Allocate system with a constant drive to ensure the systems are being fully utilised to provide safe, effective, and efficient cover across the organisation.

You will provide line management support for the e-Rostering team, including day to day management and following the Trust's appraisal schedule.

Job responsibilities

As a specialist in the field the post holder will be expected to work to support decisions regarding system set-up and design and related processes to ensure the delivery of best rostering practice across all staff groups within the Trust.

Providing scrutiny of existing processes across the Trust for maintaining quality information within the systems to ensure accurate and useful workforce information is being collated.

Lead on the improving and embedding of SafeStaffing within the Trust in conjunction with the Associate Director of HR Operations and other Trust staff.

Ensuring that the systems are built and maintained in a way that reflects current practice and will allow for meaningful reports to be extracted consistently across the workforce. To ensure all reporting reflects and meets organisational and service needs for the Trust. Identify, create, circulate, analyse and discuss reports taken from the system which have an impact on safe and effective staffing of clinical areas.

Take a lead on identifying, creating, analysing and circulating temporary staffing reports and discuss reports taken from systems which have an impact on safe and effective staffing of clinical areas within the Trust.

Conduct e-Rostering efficiency meetings with Ward/Unit Managers and Clinical Service Leads across the Trust to thoroughly go through all aspects of their e-Rostering practices and also make required roster maintenance changes.

Working with managers to develop rosters which suit department needs and are within the established budgets.

In conjunction with the Associate Director of HR Operations assume responsibility for ensuring the contract for an e-Rostering system is maintained, completing any relevant applications for funding streams in a timely manner to ensure no interruption in service.
