Job summary

There is now an exciting opportunity to join the Trust as a Finance Business Partner within the clinical team. This is a senior role where the post-holder spends the majority of their time within a division providing local front-line support to ensure that robust processes and controls exist whilst working closely with the Corporate Finance function. This post will also provide expert, specialist and in-depth financial advice and support to the Operational Division, Head of Financial Management, Chief financial Officer, and senior Operational and Clinical managers.

PROBATIONARY PERIOD

This post will be subject to a probationary period of 6 months.

During the probationary period, your suitability for continued employment will be assessed and provided a satisfactory standard is achieved and maintained, your employment will be confirmed.The probationary period may be extended or your employment terminated either during or at the end of probation, in line with the trust Probationary Policy. For the duration of the probation period, the notice period will be in line with contractual obligations on either side.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities also include:

  • Producing expert analysis of highly complex financial information, and the ability to concisely communicate to non- financial stakeholders the output of financial analysis to assist in financial decision making.
  • Playing a key leadership role in leading the annual business planning round, providing high quality costing, budgetary and activity management information.
  • Actively provide advice and guidance on all finance related issues and appropriate challenge to inform business decision making.

  • Developing accurate and robust financial plans which reflect the Divisions Business Plan.
